When Your Name Is Called, What Will You Do?

MLK , Jr. Shabbat  Jan 18, 2020
Torah study  9:15-10:15
Davvenen  10:30-1:00 followed by potluck lunch

Join us as we  weave  traditional spirituals, civil rights and modern music with Shabbat liturgy and learning as we begin the  Book of Shemot/Names

A story of enslavement, acts of civil disobedience, Mosheh’s transformation from prince to shepherd. And back again to community organizer standing up to oppression. In his life in Midian, Mosheh encounters the endless fire of the burning bush.  There he is called to confront his fears.  There he finds courage to stand up and speak out.

When  have you found your voice to stand up to injustice?

Ai-yeh asher Ai-yeh I am that I am
I am your God, ancient fire
Calling you now to do your part
I am your God, my desire
We will never we will never be apart
