Children can experience the special joy of davvenen at P’nai Or with our Shabbat and Holiday programs. Our once-a-month Saturday morning program brings Torah to life through music, movement, and drama, introducing children of all ages to the regular Shabbat liturgy and the special themes of the Jewish Holiday cycle.

We meet in the Children’s Room and the usual Shabbat schedule is –

  • 10:30 – 11:15   Activity or option to join adults for early morning prayer
  • 11:15 – 12:00   Children’s Service and activities
  • 12:00 – 12:30   Blessings and Snacks
  • 12:30 – 12:30   Additional activities or rejoin adults for the end of the Torah service, procession, and Aleynu – All invited to join for potluck!

Please see schedule in next column for special Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Children’s Program.

Stay tuned for a new program on Wednesday afternoons, a multi-sensory program for children 8-12, focusing on developing a spiritual vocabulary through the arts and enriched experiences.
